ANS Mint Preparation Tutorial

Steps you need to take to prepare for the ANS mint on February 17th.
This doc will get you ready to mint ANS in the whitelist period (17th February - 5th of March 2023).
In summary, you will need:
Let's look at each step in detail.

Get an ArConnect wallet

ArConnect is a browser extension for Arweave dApps and tokens.
After installation, open the extension and set up a new wallet. Detailed instructions are available in this article.

Deposit AR to everPay

The ANS mint will use your AR balance in everPay, not the balance in your ArConnect wallet, although to connect to the mint site you do need the ArConnect extension.
Here there are two possible routes, depending on whether you do or don't already have AR.
Jump to the right option for your case:

Option A: I don't have AR!

No problem - if you have a Metamask wallet with ETH, USDC, USDT, or DAI on Ethereum, you can deposit it to everPay and swap it to AR. Here's how:
  1. 1.
Connect your Ethereum wallet to app.everpay.io
  2. 2.
Deposit any supported token (ETH, USDC, USDT, DAI)
  3. 3.
Go to the Swap feature and swap to AR
  4. 4.
Transfer the AR to your ArConnect wallet address via everPay

1. Connect your Ethereum wallet to everPay

2. Deposit any supported token (ETH, USDC, USDT, DAI, etc.)

3. Swap your balance to AR with the swap tool

4. Transfer the AR to your ArConnect address via everPay

AR tokens on the Arweave L1 itself in ArConnect aren't supported to mint ANS, so you actually just need to transfer them to your ArConnect address from inside the everPay UI. This is because everPay is a faster payment L2 used for the mint.

Option B: I have AR already!

If you already have AR, it's simpler:
  1. 1.
Connect your ArConnect wallet to app.everpay.io
  2. 2.

1. Connect your ArConnect wallet to app.everpay.io

That's it - now you have an everPay balance.
Depending on the character length of the ANS domain you want to mint, you'll want to make sure you have enough $ worth of AR in everPay. We announced the pricing in this tweet:

Complete the whitelist form

  1. 1.
Connect your Ethereum wallet to sender.gg/forms/ans
  2. 2.
    Input your ArConnect wallet address
  3. 3.
    Check if you're eligible:
Match any number of the criteria to be added to the whitelist via the form. This means all $MASK, $RSS3 or $SARCO token holders of any quantity will get whitelisted through the form, as well as holders of any of the listed NFTs. An easy way to qualify is to link your Arweave and Ethereum addresses via Ark Protocol.
In addition to the criteria above, all current ANS holders from the private beta are automatically whitelisted too.
